Bad news, Texas vapers: lawmakers are at it again. A new bill—Senate Bill 1698 (SB 1698)—just moved forward in the Texas Senate, and if it passes, it could wipe out nearly every vape product you love and use today. 

Yes, that includes your favorite flavors, popular disposables, and even many refillable devices sold at local vape shops. 

What’s in This Bill? 

SB 1698 would require every vape product sold in Texas to have full FDA approval through something called the PMTA (Premarket Tobacco Product Application) process. 

Sounds official, right? But here’s the catch: the FDA has only authorized a handful of products—and none of them are flavored or popular disposables that most adults actually use to quit smoking.
