Stop the New Mexico Wholesale Vape Tax

Attention New Mexico residents. The cost of vaping is about to go up. 

SB 72 would tax vaping devices and liquids at 44% of the wholesale price and $0.50 per single-use cartridge. While increasing taxes on cigarettes are shown to have an effect on people quitting smoking, raising taxes on products like vaping are known to discourage people from switching.

The next hearing (possibly in S. Finance) is not yet scheduled.
