Spaceman 20K Prism Review

In order to pack in the additional features, the Spaceman 20K Prism is a bit larger than the 10K pro. It is about 0.4" taller and a quarter inch wider. But you are getting a lot of features packed into that minimal real estate. But it is notably larger than last-gen disposables like Lost Mary OS5000.

While not as large as a Smok mod, it is immediately clear that this is a serious piece of vaping kit. The Spaceman 20K Prism relies on a 1000mAh USB-C rechargeable battery for power.

This is significantly larger than many rivals but is needed. The Spaceman 20K Prism has three power modes. The "soft" or lowest one is still 15-watts. This is more punch than an XROS or UWell Caliburn typically packs, and the typical disposable vape or prefilled pod kit more typically churns out 11-watts.

The 20K name is ostensibly derived from the up to 20,000 puffs the Spaceman Prism is extracting from its 18ml e-liquid capacity. But this number is at its highest when in the lower wattage "soft mode". Utilizing the 18-watt Norm and 20-watt Boost modes will cut into battery life and puff count.

On the subject of puffs, the Spaceman 20K Pro dusted off some old school Smok mod technology. It includes a meter that measures how long each puff is. The large LED Smart Display also displays numerically the remaining charge and e-liquid capacity. The large amount of information and sheer size of the LED, 1.77 inches, really pops compared to the Spaceman 10K Pros more subdued display cutout in the bottom quarter of the device.

Vaping the Spaceman 20K Prism

The Spaceman 20K Prism is not unwieldy but notably bigger than the first wave of rechargeable disposable vapes. The big screen and boxy shape give it more than a passing resemblance to a Smok mod without the glass tank attached.

The Spaceman Prism 20K is about 3.7 inches long or 94mm. For sake of comparison, a Lost Mary OS5000 is a similar shape but 2.75 inches tall/82mm.

The Spaceman Prism 20K has a hard plastic shell, and is in vogue a slightly more pliant plastic on the mouthpiece. The clear whistle tip style mouthpiece is ergonomically perfect and quite comfortable.

Rivals such as the Geek Bar Pulse, Lost Mary MT15000 Turbo and Raz TN9000 link airflow with the power mode. The Spaceman 20K Prism has separate controls. There is a switch located on the bottom of the device with three airflow settings: MTL, a looser MTL and a wide open direct-lung. These airflow settings can be used with all three power modes. The power modes are controlled with a button that is adjacent to the airflow control.

You may notice on the screen that there is text that indicates LED OFF and LED ON. It is not possible to shut off the display. But holding the power mode button does allow you to either turn on or turn off the LED lights located on the side of the device.

As a classic safety feature, you can also click the power mode button three times to lock the device. The screen provides instructions for unlocking the device once it is locked down.

When firing up the Spaceman 20K Prism, you may note that there is a bit of added heft. That is due to the impressive 1000mAh battery. This is a huge upgrade and worth a few extra grams of weight. Not only does the Spaceman 20K Prism has 10-fold the capacity of a Vuse Alto but a battery three times larger as well. It is also half again more capacity than the usual 650mAh battery found in many rival products.

Boost Mode

When you compare the 11-watt output last gen disposable vapes, Boost Mode can seem a bit excessive for a 5 percent strength nicotine salt. Especially when dialed in with a direct-lung draw.

The original Spaceman 10K Pro was fairly hard-hitting beast when firing at full song but the Prism 20K takes it to another level. The 20-watts of power is immediately evident. The flavor is still outstanding but this is one firebreathing disposable vape.

It has to be with devices like the Lost Mary MT15000 Turbo breathing down its neck in terms of firepower and flavor.

The flavors are outstanding but there are no real risks taken here, that may eventually provide an opening to brands like Lost Mary with literally hundreds of arrows in their flavor quiver.
